When I first entered this field, I thought the math I’d learned throughout my career would be enough to land high-paying jobs in top companies.
But you know what? I was WRONG.
It took me some time to realise that, from a business perspective, I wasn’t as valuable as I thought. I understood the maths behind the models, sure. But I didn’t have a clue of how to deploy any of these models to production.
So, even if you stop reading after this, let me give you this piece of advice:
Nothing matters if the model never makes it to production. Period.
Once that clicked, everything changed. Instead of passively consuming endless tutorials, I focused on actively building real projects. In a matter of months, my skills grew exponentially, so did the value I brought to the companied I worked with.
